Re: Rangemaster Tom Givens Instructor Course
I've taken Tom's Instructor and Advanced Instructor courses, and count those among the most valuable training I've received, in over 500 hours of instruction. Once you've passed his Instructor course, you're eligible to attend the Rangemaster Instructor Conference every year, and it's well worth the...

Re: LTC Range near Cibolo (NW San Antonio)?
Folks, thanks for all the input.
I wound up making a reservation at Cedar Ridge in Bulverde, which is under 20 miles from the student's home.
Bexar community range was very flexible in offering time slots, but we weren't able to get a feasible time.

LTC Range near Cibolo (NW San Antonio)?
Greetings, I'm looking for a range that I can use for the proficiency exam for six students on April 15th. I tried Bracken a few months ago for another class, and it was incredibly crowded, with a several hour wait. (I'd tried calling to make a reservation, but never succeeded in speaking to someone...

Re: 2015 Texas Firearm Instructors & Range Conference
Charles, Tim Reedy here. Don't mean to be a bother, but is there a vegetarian lunch option at next weeks conference? No worries if not. Thank you!

Texas Steel Shootout
The Texas Steel Shootout was this Saturday, and it was my first all steel match. Shoot as much as you can in 18 seconds. Turns out I could shoot a bit, but I still have lots of room for improvement. Here are all nine stage videos from my hat-cam. There may be a tiny bit of harsh language in some.. I...

Re: Dash (?) Cams That Record
I've been using this one since April.
Instruction manual was sub-par, but camera performance is very good. I would buy another.

Taken. If Liam's daughter had a nice piece in her purse, there would have been some ventilated would-be kidnappers, and no movie.

Re: Massad Ayoob Mag 20
I attended this course at RangeMaster in Memphis earlier this year.
I've been carrying for 18+ years, teaching for 3+ years.
I found a lot of very useful information in the 20 hours.
I took 40 pages of notes on my iPad.
It was worth it to me. Your mileage may vary.

I can't recommend Stan Long enough. He's a very good Training Counselor. If you're in this area, look him up.
