Luckily the neihbors still have chainlink fences surrounding our property. However, here in lies the problem. Both our backdoor neighbors and our next door neighbors have huge freaking dogs. Irish wolfhound mixes and the backdoor people have pit bulls. They have not jumped the fence yet and are very aggressive when anyone is outside. Both neighbors we've talked to already...one saying "it's my guard dog" and the other saying "GTFO my property"
Now in the case I carry if my older parents are mowing the lawn or outside grilling. Knowing that I am fully in the right to defend myself or my family on my own property, what will the consequences be for me if I put down one of their dogs if they do jump the fence? I know the reaction the police would have but what about the PETA-ish people(yeah one has a bumpersticker for the org)? I owned animals in the past and always took care of my animals making sure they weren't a nuisance.
just asking.

Bill's question, BTW, is not an idle one.
