Plastic In hand this morning...Mailmain runs before 9:30am? Anyway, Out the door at 9:30 to the gun show, didnt trade up my Taurus but i did see TexasCHLForum.com banner! anyway. Locked in car at show, Rearmed after, off to walmart Rockwall (9.47 per box on 9mm Federal Ball ammo), got 12 boxes, hit up Buffalo Wild Wings in Rockwall then to Bass Pro for a new shotgun...its almost Quail season!

Mailman failed to deliver my license today. Well off to the gun show tomorrow!

On a sad note, my mailman didnt even bother to come yesterday, didnt pickup my mail, didnt drop off my card. If he fails to arrive today i'll call the post office, but they always have excuses.

Mine was mailed yesterday, hopefully it arrives today.

My wife's info is the same as mine accept: Visible on website 8/16/2010, FP done by the time it was visible w/ BCG pending. 8/18/2010 BCG Complete, Manufacture pending.

INDEED! Mailed status this morning. If they drop it in the box we are looking at Fri/Sat delivery. Hopefully they really mailed it yesterday and the system just updated this morning!

So on top of my status of processing, we finally got through to somone at TXDPS Licensing number, and the reason my wife's status wont show, is they fat-fingered her drivers license number. So we should see a status "after the system updates tonight". Glean what you may off that, periodic updates of their database backend ?

TECHALUM! We must have the same person, mine says BG Complete! YAY! Okay, might not have a job at the end of the day, but i'll have my CHL next week!

We do FBI background checks for my work regularly. You must submit Finerprints with these checks. So....extrapolating from that, if your FP are not done, they probably have not even started your BG check.

So status updates:

STILL waiting on BG check. Going on 45 Day mark. Wife's still does not even show up on the website, same mailing and recieved dates as mine.

I must have received the sub-par employee. Mine was recieved a descent time before both of you!

I wish the projected date of July 29th was correct. Still waiting on BG Check. I hope i'm not like the April folks and get stuck in the mix for 90+days holding on a BG check.

On another note: Wife still is not in the system. its 30+ days since mailed in. When emailed, they reply with a generic email about her changing her last name a year ago, and it affecting their online system, but the application still being processed.


We'll see. She'll probably get hers before mine!

I think April or June statistics will more likely apply to us =P
