Re: OAG negotiation
Thank you. I believe that answered my question. I tried different searches, didn't think to search for a definition of government meeting.

OAG negotiation
My daughter wants me to go to a meeting at the Office of the Attorney General, Child support office in Tyler tomorrow. Does this count as "a meeting of a governmental entity" in PC 46.035, subsection (c)? In other words, can I carry there?

Re: help-static cling in powder drop!
Keep a dryer sheet in your powder measure when not in use. Wipe it around inside and out on the plastic part of your powder measure before putting any powder in it. It solved the static cling problems with my powder measures.

Re: "Extra hot" reloads
My own reloads are about all I shoot. Some of them are pretty hot, although not over published loads. Most are mild practice loads. Never had a squib load, or a kaboom. (knock on wood). I only provide reloads to my kids, to be fired in weapons that were used in the workup of the load. NEVER let othe...

Re: Academy today!!
At around noon today the Academy in Longview was carting all their black guns (centerfire only) into the back. AR's SIGs Remy's, etc. I asked if they were still selling them, they said they would, but they were taking them off the shelves. People were standing 4 deep waiting to buy pistols though. 9...

Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?
In Longview, Texas, Good Shepherd Medical Center is posted with a correct sign. The land and buildings are owned by Gregg County, but leased to Good Shepherd. Is the sign enforceable? The emergency room entrance has a metal detector and is staffed by Longview PD.

Re: Proper Etiquette for Reholstering at a Gun Show
Somewhat off topic, but the last gun show I went to at Longview's Maude Cobb center did not have 30.06 posted. They did have an off duty LEO checking and zip tying weapons. A generic sign saying all weapons must be unloaded and inspected was posted. On my way out I had a discussion with the officer ...

Plan to Draft New Gun Legislation
One of our congressmen plans to draft legislation to allow congressmen to carry in Washington DC. http://gohmert.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=219674 Why should they have any more rights than ordinary citizens? How many tourists or businessmen get mugged or killed when visiting Washi...

Re: Experience at the state capitol building.
A news article I read about the CHL line at the State Capital said that it was started because so many legislators and staff had CHL's and were carrying that it just made sense for them to have a seperate line.
