If we took a vote of 100% of the membership, I suspect the majority would rather preserve .30-30s and sixguns and hunting rights, than would support repeal of NFA'34 and GCA'68. Not to mention FOPA/MGB'86.

With directors like this it does explain why there has been so little aggressiveness on issues such as carry on government parks and Post Offices. If a director of the NRA doesn't get the 2nd amendment how are we suposed to get our congress critters to figure it out.stevie_d_64 wrote:Not that I don't mind hearing anything from Charles about this and other issues...
I really don't need to on this particular "crisis", if you can call it that...
This statement was made by an individual who happens to have that right to make such a outrageous comment...
Now, that chore being out of the way, I will not be trashing my NRA membership, but I will certainly be sending a note to the NRA that this comment, and the asinine excuse for making it, as rediculous damage control...
This guy will be ostrasized, and cast out as soon as they can...
Like some have said, you can vote him out I suppose, and that would be fitting...
I'm just glad I know a few of the folks on the NRA board personally...They have fully deserved our support, and I will continue to do so...
But this guy is done as far as I am concerned...
I look forward to the day when I can support the NRA.
