The problem is these bills are destroyed anonymously. The lowest form of cowardness. We don't know who killed these bills. It's very difficult to hold them accountable.Beiruty wrote: I will not mince words anymore.
This is how politicians screw you up! Why in the world the GOP elected representatives of us, the people, with supermajority in the 3 branches of the Texas government are "COWARDS".
I did not care about 1911, but I cared a lot about the HB 560.
TSRA/NRA has to re-form their endorsements and rating of the nominees for elections.

Re: HB1911 Com Substitute
I think the fact that making HB560 the sacrificial lamb to forward HB1911, puts some truth to this. I am so excited at the possibility that my CHL could be $1.00 a year cheaper.poppo wrote:
I may be wrong, but I always felt HB1911 was an anti-gun bill in disguise.

Re: HB1911 Com Substitute
The one bit of good news for me in all of this. Is that If this passes, I don't have to worry about the legality of an exposed gun that I'm not wearing while driving. I often carry a holstered handgun in my doorside panel. If I open the door the gun could be exposed. I kept it covered with a cloth, now I won't worry about it so much while getting gas etc.

Re: HB1911 Com Substitute
It's a war on 3 fronts. Mad Mom's, TSRA and the OCT. I think the CC issues have the support of 2 fronts, HB 560 only has support from one front. TSRA doesn't control the gun agenda anymore because it's a 3 way tug of war.

Re: HB1911 Com Substitute
I sure hope that the 30.06 wording isn't a poison pill. If this is the wording the bill must be stopped.
CHL holders will big time losers with the now smaller easier signs. Any bill messing with the 30/06 signs was dangerous for us. The one sign does all makes it even more tempting for the gun banners. Is it too late to stop this bill? Is TSRA still supporting it?
Good bill gone bad!
