People train with guns for many legitimate reasons. Some train for combat and self defense, others for hunting. A lot of people train for target proficiency which can be a lot of fun. Children learning to do things with a parent is a good thing, especially firearms. Its a great opportunity to learn safety, respect for firearms and a life skill. Children who bond with their parents doing things things they both love are going to be better off than parents. Who just do their own thing.
