All airports wish you would not carry in the terminals unless traveling and then you have to follow the rules for that. Hard case and locked away.
Not being a mind reader I don't know how we would know what airport wishes. The rules say that we CHLers can carry in all the public areas of a municipal airport. Except in a 51%er or past the TSA secure zone. I don't believe there are any 51% bars outside the secure zone.

Even if I let my wife go to meet her and stay behind the security check going directly to the baggage pickup, I still don't know if the Terminal "E" is 30.06 posted or not. If so, it is a long trip back to the parking area.
The easy fix to this ordeal is to back Gov. Perry and get his new measure put into law that we can carry anywhere rather than having to take a lawyer with us everywhere we go!
The baggage areas are OK to carry. Baggage for terminal E is in Terminal C .. The parking is not so far away.

There is no "possible" trouble. Unless the airport posts 30.06 concealed carry is not restricted outside of security. Carry inside and avoid the possibility of theft of the gun from the vehicle.

:banghead: There is ZERO evidence of that, AND its just not true.
I agree. What is not clear to me about this post though is whether the original poster is intending to go to the boarding area with a young child. If that is his plan he would have to go past security and it would be a very bad idea to attempt that while carrying.
