As I remember it while his introduction for his speech in the 2004 was like a coronation, and there was talk from the liberal media of him being a savior for the party back then. The Newt won't run. Thompson is getting to old, Cheney is believed to be Darth Vader. And Romney disapeared.. I don't see any leadership at all left. Even Texas politics has backed away true conservatism. Until there is some real leadership there isn't anyone left to stand in the way of Obamaism. I just don't see such leadership anymore in the Republican party.
But Obama wasn't exactly billed as the crown prince of the other party in '04. He took a lot of people by surprise when he started doing well in the primaries. Have faith that there is a super-star candidate in the making who can make Texas proud!
Sara Palin came in with with much of the same image, but the liberals have managed to destroy her image in the eyes of the moderates.. You have to get moderate votes to win elections.
