My concern for hanging on to the renewable one would be crossing state lines. I feel its more important for me to be able to carry while on the road, than it is close to home. This bill introduces an alternative for a perpetual CHL. Obviously, this would not meet federal standards for NICS checks. By leaving the option open for the renewable CHL, would the renewable CHL still be valid for NICS exemptions?
