My point wasn't about which party is most supportive, but that gun rights are not a simple Left vs Right or Republican vs Democrat.. Even the 20 that voted against the castle doctrine wasn't a majority of Democrats. Chucky who was a Republican was the biggest opponant, and the was more active in taking a stand against the RKBA than any Democrat in Texas. The real shame is that Chuckie didn't get tossed because he betrayed the rights of good Texans, but because he got caught up in a little sex scandal. When we support candidates just because of their party affiliations and ignore their performance and unethical actions we get bums like Delay and Rosenthal. Calling themselves Republicans doesn't make them one of the good good guys and in the long run the 2 of them have done more damage to the party itself than any Democrat has done in over 40 years.lawrnk wrote: Lets not start this again. I imagine there is a tiny faction of democrats who support RKBA. Must I rattle off the names of the what 20 or so politicians who voted against the castle doctrine? Anyone want to guess what party every one of them belongs to? I will trust my gun rights to a democrat about the same time I let my kid hang out at neverland ranch.
`Nuff said.
