I generally shop around every year when my home policy comes up for renewal. This year I checked USAA just to see. I currently have GEICO for auto and home - well, the homeowners is underwritten by Lloyds and the windstorm by TWIA (like everybody in coastal counties). Anyway, they were a few dollars cheaper on home but nearly *TWICE* as expensive on auto. I tried Farmers again as well (used to have them) and they were a more expensive on both.

I haven't had anybody come anywhere close to the price GEICO charges for our auto.
