Re: Smart Gun Hacked, Fires using Magnets
One thing about the article that found disconcerting (though unsurprising) was this quote: And most disturbingly, he can mechanically disable the gun's locking mechanism by placing some cheap magnets alongside its barrel, firing the gun at will even when the watch is completely absent. Personally, I...

Re: Campus Carry -- Where Are We Now?
... The same would be true for visitors to the library or to a sporting event. Correct? I don't believe anything changed in the law regarding sporting events. I believe sporting events are still off limits, per: Sec. 46.035. UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF HANDGUN BY LICENSE HOLDER. (a) A license holder commi...

Re: Campus Carry -- Where Are We Now?
It looks like even though private institutions can opt out, that they will now be forced to post 30.06 signs. Am I wrong? That is a lot of doors in a lot of buildings ... I don't see anything in the bill that requires a private institution to post 30.06 when they opt out. However, the bill does sta...

MAIG and Mom's Joining forces
I looked to see if this had been posted yet and was surprised to find nothing on it, Sorry if I missed it. They are saying he shot the TSA agent and then ran up stairs... unarmed TSA a real threat that works about as good as a gun free sign..I imagine they will now call for arming TSA :smash: . That is exactly what I told my wife. Just one more step toward the eventual police state. :banghead: :banghead:

Re: Getting rid of your iPhone? BEWARE!!!!
I would love to see the source for this. Everything I read lately paints a different picture - although Apple still seems to hold the market share lead for tablets.RottenApple wrote: Especially since iPhone sales account for 50% (approx) of all smart phone sales in the US *AND* worldwide markets.

Re: Getting rid of your iPhone? BEWARE!!!!
A little known fact about iPhones/Apple can bit you in the rump, if you aren't careful. When an iPhone sends a text to another iPhone, the message is automatically converted to an iMessage. (I have no idea why this is done, unless to cause the very problems it is causing.) Mr. Cotton, I agree compl...

For what it's worth, here is the webform email I just sent to Starbucks: ----- Regarding Open Letter on Guns: Let me start by apologizing that Starbucks got drawn into this battle. I don't know for sure whether it was gun control activist (with campaigns such as “BREW not BULLETS”), or gun rights ac...

Re: Good Samaritan Shot
Not all hero stories end well. Anytime you stick yourself out to try and help someone, no matter how slight it may seem, there is risk involved. I won't second guess his judgement at attempting to offer assistance vs. just being a good witness. The story said two people stepped in to help. One of th...
