You nailed it. It's part the divide and conquer tactics of the left perpetrated against Americans in order to bring that "fundamental transformation" about. It's the same method and motivation for all the media race baiting and their repeated agitation for racial division and animosity....also facilitated by The One and his Alisky acolytes as part of their Cloward-Piven strategy. The Annoyed Man wrote:If they can do that in a war zone, why can't they do it here? If they could, Pamela Geller would probably take a chill pill, and American kafirs would see them as allies instead of the enemy. I do realize that some, but not enough, Islamic religious leaders condemn the actions of the crazies, but for whatever reason, their message isn't getting told here in the U.S. Whose fault is that? Lemme see....... could it be the national media which is controlled almost exclusively by lefties?

Re: CITY: 2 GUNMEN KILLED OUTSIDE MUHAMMAD CARTOON CONTEST
There is no right not to be offended. The left is working hard to construct some kind of right not to be offended.....but it is nothing more than a tool to eliminate their opposition as there is nothing anybody does that doesn't offend somebody. The essence then of "offense" is that those in power get to decide who is and who is not offended.E.Marquez wrote:You do realise, you, I, and the majority of the US citizens, simply drawing breath offends millions of Muslims.. YES?ScooterSissy wrote: The folks that staged the "cartoon contest" were deliberately poking at evil people that meet civil disagreement with terror; however, at the same time they are offending many more totally innocent people of the Muslim faith that are not terrorists.
You do realise, you, I, and the majority of the US citizens who do not require of and discipline our women IAW Muslim ways offends millions of Muslims..
You do realise when millions of American males refuse to kill their wife and daughters when they offend Allah by acting inappropriately IAW Muslim ways those americans are offending millions of Muslim males.
Why again am I concerned that our freedom of speech is offending millions of Muslims?
I can not control who is offended in another country in reference to how Americans live.

Re: CITY: 2 GUNMEN KILLED OUTSIDE MUHAMMAD CARTOON CONTEST
The left sees sees Muslims and the Muslim religion as a tool to attack America and undermine our laws and Constitution. The attacks against Christians and those with traditional values are ok with the left because those people support traditional American values that the left wants to eradicate. The left foolishly believes they can make short-term allies of radical Muslims in order to undermine the country and gain power for themselves, and then dispose of them when they are no longer useful. Where you see principle, the left sees opportunity. The left doesn't support "free speech" it seeks "left speech." Yes, there are exceptions and principled people on the left, but they don't have any power. They're marginalized on their side by those in power in the Democratic party just like libertarians and conservatives are marginalized by the fake conservatives who are in power in the Republican party.ShootDontTalk wrote:I am simply amazed by all the respectful Americans, many of whom openly participate in the open war on Christianity in this country, including disgusting "art" exhibits, ridiculing Christians for their faith, laughing at their beliefs, insulting their intelligence, chuckling at the cartoons (on and on the list goes) and otherwise claim Christians are "forcing" their beliefs on non Christians, who are now so swift to declare the utter stupidity of those who poke fun at religious people. Why the deafening silence about the attacks on Christianity from those who now cry "foul"?
Had these "Americans" the courage of their convictions - that they hate all religion, they would be selling cartoons outside the Mosques. Instead, their courage only extends to attacking, verbally, with printed materials, and "art", Christians who they know will not attack them. Now suddenly, they claim poking fun at religions is not a good thing to do. Their courage is legendary.
I think Americans should be respectful of all religions, not just those who retaliate. I think Americans should take the First Amendment seriously. After all is said and done: I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

I hope the officer gets the recognition he deserves. We here in Texas are all very proud of what he did. He is a true hero.
I'm sure for a second, we all wish we could have helped him.

I'm sometimes confronted with it at places like doctor office waiting rooms.fickman wrote:VMI77 wrote:That's what you get for watching CNN. Who does that?fickman wrote:WFAA keeps labeling it an "anti-Islam" event, not a free speech event.
I saw a CNN interview where the anchor was clearly insinuating that the free speechers "asked for it and had it coming".
Sad. Very sad.
I think I was in 7th grade when I saw the stupidity of guys goaded into a fight because the other guy "was talking about my mom." The fight always ended up in a suspension and sometimes in a ticket from the campus officer. I asked a few of them, "Does he even know your mom?" "No." "Then why do you care what he says?"
It seems pretty ignorant and immature to give somebody else so much power that their words unilaterally compel your actions. Counterintuitively, it puts you at their mercy, not them at yours.
The proper response is to have ten of these events next week, 100 the week after that, and 1,000 the week after that.
Hahaha, well, not me. I kicked all cable/satellite to the curb years ago. I do have a bad habit of visiting their website, but I found this specific interview from a Facebook link to a conservative website that was calling out the CNN anchor and included the clips as a point of disgust.

Re: CITY: 2 GUNMEN KILLED OUTSIDE MUHAMMAD CARTOON CONTEST
You should read the Commiefornia appeaser comments on the LA Times website. Disgusting. If we just ignore reality and keep quiet and out of sight and don't provoke the bad people maybe they'll leave us alone and maybe we can keep living in our pretend TV sitcom worlds and nasty mean old reality won't bother us. Geez, read the comments on the Daily Mail site --even the Brits aren't that deluded. I no longer believe immigration is even an issue in California. The problem is California is Californian's. An immigrant take over could do nothing but improve the place and put a little bit of spine back in the population.Abraham wrote:RoyGBiv posted:

Certainly, we should all figuratively walk on eggshells if it means we might anger radical Muslims with our insistence on free speech. Who do we think we are? Free Americans?
Then, we should promptly drop down into a fetal position and start sucking our thumbs and repeat: I'm so sorry - I'm so sorry - I'm so sorry if we get within a camel's breath of radical Muslim offense.

I ranked comments from the DM by rating. There are a lot of Brits wishing they could live in Texas and that the UK would regain some guts. For example:
I read through the comments at the execrable LAT "news" site.....the leftwing nut jobs and appeasers in Commiefornia make the Brits look like Warrior Crusaders. Too bad Texas can't close our borders to these Commiefornia nut cases. They have got to be the most pathetic bunch of spineless whiners in the country.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... ammad.htmlAuthorities identified Elton Simpson from Arizona as the man behind the “Shariah is Light” terrorist account.
A screen grab from the now suspended Twitter account of the person who tweeted about martyrdom and the #texasattack twenty minutes before the attack in Garland, Texas on Sunday shows that the person was a convert to Islam.
.A senior FBI official has identified one of the men as Elton Simpson, who was previously the subject of a terror investigation, according to ABC News.
Simpson, identified in court papers as an American Muslim, had been convicted of lying to federal agents about his plans to travel to Somalia five years ago, but a judge ultimately ruled it could not be proved that he was heading there to join a terror group. He was placed on probation.
After his identity emerged, FBI agents and a bomb squad swarmed Simpson's apartment in north Phoenix, Arizona and used a robot to carry out the first sweep of his home, the channel reported. Investigators are reviewing computer records from materials found at the home
