DEB wrote:I was reading KOS where an individual posted that all guns needed to be banned, I know surprised right? But anyhow, the way this individual postulated for this to occur was by making a path to registration, by making it easy for gunowners to comply, by then moving to where the BATF would be allowed to come to your home and insure that the guns did move as intended, by using the media and others to further demonize guns, showing off good gunowners versus those who refuse to comply, and slowly turning the screws until final total ban. I paraphrased quite a bit, but that was the gist of it. Then I read this and it was like everything was falling into the progressive/communist model. I state "no more compromise", everything we do for them, means we have less than what we began with. Those who dislike us, dislike us. Can't make them like us, no matter what we do, unless we become like them. All of this progressive socialization that is ongoing, I don't and hopefully will not support. I have to work as do others, just to eat, so I pray that I have leaders that will support my beliefs. Cruz has really made me proud. I also just read another rag that 49% of Texans support some type of gun control. What they didn't say was that the support was going to for the forced background checks, or the gunshow loophole, as being suggested. I say no more of this so called compromise, everything we do is seen by those people as giving in, which, I believe only emboldens them to take more.
The left-wing wackos have been emboldened by Obama's re-election. They don't just want our guns, they want us dead or in prison. I'm done with even talking to liberals.

About the only tactical concession we MIGHT want to make is to let them close the "gunshow loophole" if it pertains ONLY to gunshows, and gunshows alone, and doesn't restrict face-to-face sales of any other sort.
That's impossible to do without registration. And pretty much a fools errand even with registration.
