The driver was a thug with a long record, including a previous police chase....couldn't find much on the female passenger. At the same time, four of the officers involved have been accused of using excessive force....in one case, costing the city $900,000 when a couple of them beat up a prison guard who was guarding a hole in the fence of a per-release center --saying they thought he was "escaping."Jumping Frog wrote:The passenger was also shot over 20 times. The chase started when an officer said he heard a gunshot come from the car. There was no gun found. It will be interesting to see what the gunshot residue tests conclude.
BTW there were a large number of bullets holes in the windshields and auto bodies of several police cars stopped at the shoot out. Yet there was no gun in the suspect's car.Do that math!
BTW, don't construe my comment about no gun found as saying they shouldn't have been shot. If you run from the police and then ram police cars trying to roadblock you, that generally is a poor plan with consequences!
