Re: Possible Stolen FNH Five Seven

My husband, who is far less cynical than me this week, suggested that the FFL might have put the wrong shipping label on the package. He said that would explain how it was mailed but the tracking number never showed up in the system.

Re: Possible Stolen FNH Five Seven

Being the cynic I am, I'd call the SD FFL and ask for his side of the story. The cynic in me would say that you'd never get the supposed guy's name or number because he doesn't exist. I'm sure there'd be some sort of perfectly valid explanation about not having saved the number in the phone or some such.

I must be in a really bad mood, but things don't add up with your FFL. How convenient that he didn't have a receipt, FedEx had absolutely no history of it being scanned in any location anywhere, there's no insurance on it, your rare piece that can sell for mega bucks on the black market just disappears, but then with the police involved all of a sudden it shows back up under shady conditions, but still none of it makes sense to you and none of the communications go through any official channels. And still there is no documentation on what's happening. I call bunk. I hope for your sake that I have to pick up the entire deck (ie that I am wrong).

I'm glad it looks like you'll have it back in your hands soon.
