they are not " gun victims" they used a tool. the person with the tool is at fault.

all inanimate objects remain inanimate until out side forces act on them...
the wind blows, a tree which falls onto a pile of boulders...
the wind blows, a tree which falls onto a heavy sonw covered hill sending a avalanche down the mountain side...
the weight of the snow becomes so heavy with the warming weather a avalanche ensues
the teetering boulder ......
i guess you could be beaten with a gun but that still would require an action from an antimated object

how3 can one be a victim of an inanimate object? is that even possible?
