Re: What was the most unusual car you or your father owned

My first car was a '64 Plymouth Barracuda fastback. Had a 340 CI engine and a three-speed automatic transmission. The gear selector was a push button for the forward and reverse and a lever to put it in park. The selector was located left of the steering wheel on the dash. The 'Cudda was a fast back with a huge back window. The back seat folded down and the separator between the back area and the trunk would fold down. I was 15 at the time so you can just guess where I wanted my date to end up............. Had someone pull out in front of me and I T-boned him. That was end of that car.

I worked the next summer for my uncle doing heavy equipment repair for Whitman Plumbing in Hypoluxo, FL (yes, that Whitman). My uncle gave me a '60 Ford F100. My Dad and I put a drive-train from a 72 Mustang in it. It had no bed so my Father had an aluminum frame built for it and I put in stained and vanished wood for the base. Got a ticket doing over a 125 MPH and that was the end of that truck.

Never thought all these years later I would want pictures of them. :banghead:
