The wife of the man who was killed by police in Charlotte, had previously taken out a protective order against her husband. He had threatened to kill her. He had also struck his young son. When asked if he would be a threat to police she said "yes". She also said he had a 9mm black gun.

The protective order is from last year. If he had been arrested and convicted of "felon in posession", he should've been in prison instead of roaming the streets and ignoring the cops.
