After the garage got broken into, and a chainsaw stolen, my parents secured the garage doors better. My mother made curtains for the garage door windows. They were installed with cafe rods at the top & bottom so they could never allow a "peek" inside. You could still break the window, reach in and release the lock, so my father took one more step.
In each door track, he drilled a hole right above one roller (when the door was closed), and installed a slide bolt so that it would go through the hole and block the roller.
It made more work for the garage door opener (me) but it was a lot more secure.
