Re: CHL renewal--13 days

I wouldn't call it misery, in my case. My current license is good for another 5 months.

Initially the Texas.Gov web site said something like application in process. The next day (Thursday, 27 Feb) I received a msg from TX DPS Regulatory Svcs Div saying they'd received my materials and would forward them to a CHL specialist. The status on the Texas.Gov web page then changed (on Friday) to: License Status: Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page.

As of today that hasn't changed. It's now 07 March (nine days later) and the web site still says it's waiting for materials. I was hoping to at least see something different on the web page, but I guess I'll just have to be patient. It sounds like things are a lot better than the couple of months that it took to get my initial license five years ago.
I started mine on Feb 21 and the website still hasn't changed. I got an email the night I started (the 21st) that said they had received the attached documents.
