If you're limited to those safes, then yes, go with the big one. You will never regret bigger. BOLT IT DOWN!!!

When I was looking at safes, I looked at Academy and none of theirs fit my criteria.

I wound up buying a Champion Triumph T-60 from The Safe Company in Garland. Take note of the pictures on the front page of The Safe Company's website of a Champion safe that went through a devastating house fire, but the contents were unscathed.

It's 50" wide and weighs 1450 lbs. It cost about $3K, delivered and bolted down.
