The MIL is now arrested for murder. She originally lied and told police that the SIL had pulled the gun and she gained control of it and shot him in self defense.

I think that fellow was quite charitable in his conversation with his MIL after she shot him. I believe I would have been putting all of my effort into turning her face into a puddle of goo.
