I was going to go the Library route with the speech analogy but the megaphone works alsoCleverNickname wrote:Your speech analogy doesn't really work. If you took a megaphone to HEB and started talking on it, I imagine you would be invited to leave rather quickly.stingeragent wrote:I believe in a half 2A supporter being a thing. They are restricting you so they aren't completely pro gun. If you correlate it to the freedom of speech, it's like saying you can talk, but you can't talk loudly. Or you can talk but you can't whisper in here. There is no difference between concealing a gun into HEB, and carrying it openly. Either way you have your legally owned firearm in the store. The difference is the company is keeling over to the panicky moms that think every person with a gun is gonna shoot them, and if they see a man with a gun they are gonna be shot. If a LEO can open carry into HEB, why can't a license holder. The background checks for both are the same, the only difference is the polygraph test that leo's take in most areas.

Re: H.E.B. and their reason for no open carry
We cant have missed a point you didn't make. I specifically asked Para in my original question if his issue with HEB was that he wanted to OC because I expected that would be a good reason to switch stores. In your post you didn't indicate you prefer to OC and will shop at Krogers because they support your decision you instead called HEB "Half pro 2A"TexasRifleman wrote:I think you miss the point entirely. Chas.
Why would I go against my preferred carry method to reward a company that tells me I can't?
That makes no sense at all.
I fully respect your decision to shop at Krogers just not your description of a company as Half Pro 2A when they have publicly stated CC is welcome.

Re: H.E.B. and their reason for no open carry
Half? I don't think you can be half Pro 2A. You either allow people to carry or you don't and in this case they do.TexasRifleman wrote:If given an equal option of "half pro 2A" or "full pro 2A" i'll default to full.zero4o3 wrote:is it fair to take it from that statement that your intention is to predominantly open carry? is it fair to take it from that statement that your intention is to predominantly open carry?
