This has been a very interesting discussion, its hard to say what I would do given had I been in the same postion seeing how I have the time to sit and think about how best to react, honestly this may sound strange but I dont know that the thought of caling the police would have went through my mind before I asked them as nice as possible to move along. that being said and the fact that I only have 8 rounds and wouldnt think about getting to a close enough distance to hit 7 targets fast enough to not get killed had they gotten upset and pulled weapons. once they said no I probably would have retreated and called for help at that time.
Again its hard to say how you would feel, in my mind these are just some young punks who are not even thinking about what they are doing, wanted to stop and sit so they did. I wouldnt want to confront a group alone just for the simple fact that 4 guys are not going to care what a single person says. and I also am very hesitant to start any kind of confrontation with some one at my work or home, just for fear of repercussion.
What I would want to do on the other hand, is walk out with an AR15 and let them know I need to get in my car to leave, not holding it in a threating manner, just kinda taking it with me to go home
