Re: My worst investment..

Was my childhood friend father's gun. He didn't take care of it, but knew it shot well. Since I've known his father for quite some time, he let it go very cheap.

Couldn't pass it up. :thumbs2:

Re: My worst investment..

Yes, I will. I've been thinking about it and I just might send it back to get it refinished. It's about 50 bucks from Ruger, but I think it'll be worth it. Thing is built really well. I'm MORE than happy with the purchase after shooting it. Darn fine gun if I do say so myself. :woohoo :fire

Trust me, I'll keep y'all updated. Even if I have to resurrect an old thread :evil2:

Re: My worst investment..

Shot 300 rounds of Monarch, Winchester, and federal 9mm FMJ.

Two flaws: One is the trigger pull. It is WAY too long. Though, after shooting about 20 rounds, I got used to it and was .. somewhat satisfied. Two is the slide not staying back. I suspect it might be the magazine. I only have one right now, but going to invest in another one here soon. It only happened 3 times out of 300 rounds.

The pic is only of Monarch ammo (FMJ steel). The right side is my Sig P238.

Re: My worst investment..

I heard nothing but great things about this pistol. I heard it eats all types of ammo, and everything you throw at it. It's an extremely durable weapon. For $75 dollars, I'm happy. It's just a real.. ugly.. gun. It stands out like a sore thumb in my gun collection. That's it.

My worst investment..

So I got a new toy, and for dirt cheap. I personally don't really like Ruger's (maybe their revolvers) but I couldn't resist the price. It looks ugly and it just feels.. clumsy. Has tons of great reviews on it, but it will definitely be a gun that I really could care less about. I received it extremely dirty and has a lot of abuse on it. The slide kind of looks as if it's rusting a bit, but I talked to Ruger and they said they'll redo the slide for about $70 (which is almost what I paid for the gun). It shoots fine.. and it's ... just.. ugly. I hate it. Though it's fun to shoot those cheap 9mm rounds :D
