Given that I plan to start the renewal process 60 days before my CHL expires will I still be entitled to the Sr. discount? Anyone had experience with this situation.

Re: Veteran / Senior Discount
No, You don't have to send it in every renewal. What he is saying is that it won't transfer from your DL.txglock21 wrote:Sorry to keep on this, but so I get it straight...so you are saying that if you want to keep using the veteran discount, you HAVE to send a copy EVERYTIME you renew? Thanks in advance!MeMelYup wrote:Yes. You can copy it in digital format and send it. Re: Veteran / Senior Discount
Yep, I just sent in renewal paperwork, copy of DD214, $25 fee and received my renewal with "VETERAN" listed on it.rotor wrote:I have been out of the service 25+ years and just got my DD214. I was on terminal leave when I was discharged and never received one. Easy to get one online though. When I got my CHL I took a senior discount. What's the routine for getting vet discount when you renew? Do you just include a DD214 with paperwork? I still have a way to go before renewal and just curious from those that have done it.

Re: Veteran / Senior Discount
Yep, I got out of the Air Force in 1965 and got the Veteran pricing. And NO, you cannot get both Vet and Sr. I asked.
When I first got my CHL, Veteran and Senior were the same fee. Last time I renewed, I changed to Veteran. Got Vet pricing and "Veteran" status on the plastic.
