Re: HB 1108 - School Marshal Carry
I’d like to see the program opened up to volunteers as well. Requiring an umbrella policy, additional insurance or even a liability waiver would be acceptable.

Re: Need your wisdom - DL etched on gun
Gunsmith can file it down.
Laser engraver may be able to cover it.
Someone could weld on to it and then grind it down and re-finish it.
Put it under a mill and cut it out, very carefully.
Lots of options....

300WM pushing 200gr Precision Hunter and you're done. Put a silencer on it or a good brake and it's no problem to shoot all day.
You won't encounter anything in North America that will stand up to that if shot placement is solid.

I'd have picked up the G17 or G19 had you been in Dallas. Best of luck!

Re: Free tip about the Flu
I got a flu shot BTW. Probably not the biggest medical scam in this country, but is on my short list. These flu shots have been 9-to-1 ineffective for decades, yet the medical community insists people inject themselves with dangerous bacteria only to get sick anyway. I be willing to bet fewer peopl...

Re: Ever Shoot with No Ear Protection for Training?
There is something you are not factoring in, and cannot train for. Namely, adrenaline. Don't sacrifice you hearing unnecessarily. Adrenaline will keep you from even noticing the sound. I am going to disagree to an extent about adrenaline. Enter a two-way kill house using simunitions. You'll get clo...

Re: Purse Carry
It all comes down to securing the trigger and training around purse carry. Ideally you could get her to an action range where she can draw from her purse and get comfortable with it. I also agree - a well designed purpose-built purse should be investigated. Rigging something up is never as dependabl...

Crossfire Defense Academy - Flower Mound - Highly Recommend
I was able to shoot up there a few weekends ago - albeit briefly. The owner Dave was working at the time - on a Sunday no less. I arrived a few minutes after they closed down the range as I forgot to check what time they closed! Being a Dynamics member I have the option to draw from a holster, draw ...

Re: Ever Shoot with No Ear Protection for Training?
Have a VBIED go off or a rocket land near you. That will show you instantly that loud noises do nothing to help your reactions, and no amount of training helps that out. Same with machine gun fire right across the brick wall from you, or grenades. OR - have an office within a hundred or so yards fro...

Re: Neighbor Spoofing
The concept of neighbors and phone numbers being related is a dying artifact. Cell phone numbers are pulled from pools and you can typically ask for whatever. I got two new numbers added to my account a few months ago, in the same first-six number range as my phone number, and I've had my number for...

Re: Stop issuance of the Green Beret to the U.S. Army 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade.
Maybe its me , but I've gotten a little confused about the role of the Special Forces. The Navy seal seem to be seeing a lot of action in the Mountains of Afghanistan and and not so much about the Special Forces these days. Seems to me that there is some political castration going on. Maybe it's ju...

I've had issues with WWB in pistols with tight tolerances, especially 45ACP. I haven't had issues in loose or production grade guns in any caliber.

Re: Closing Tax Loopholes is Treason
Keeping deductibility in place means those of us in places with low state and local tax burdens pay more federal income tax, thereby subsidizing the taxpayers of places such as New York. No wonder Cuomo is so worked up. So you're OK with letting some of our citizens getting taxed twice? If the poli...
