Re: Are you still comfortable?

I am still comfortable with my current caliber and capacity. I carry a G23 with a .357sig barrel and one 15 round reload. I am comfortable with 29 rounds of .357sig. I often carry a G30SF with 11 rounds in the gun and a 13 round reload. I am also still comfortable with 24 rounds of .45. I have alter...

Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?

Im sorry if this is an imposition but I know that there is a thread with pics of the legal 30.06 and the 51% sign but I can't find them anywhere. Will someone please post a link to these? http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=34571" onclick="window.open(this.href);return f...

Re: Best choice for Springfield XDm

Spend the money, go with Crossbreed or Comp-Tac for a good Horsehide / Kydex holster (spend the cash for the horsehide - about $15 more, but well worth it) http://crossbreedholsters.com/IWB/tabid/56/CategoryID/1/List/0/Level/1/ProductID/1/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName,ProductName http://comp-t...

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry

JDJ - your tag line brigs back a lot of memories. "Those of you who think you know everything, are annoying those of us who do." That was my Dad's saying. I have an old picture of him standing at his desk and pointing at the camera and that line is printed underneath the photo. He actuall...

Re: Which wheel gun should I purchase next

I can see that this could be a problem for me too. I own a Ruger Redhawk 44, But if I didn't, It would be a hard choice for me. Looking at it from a practical point on view, since I would most likely CC this weapon also, the .357 would be my first choice because even when hog hunting, the .357 is pl...

Re: What kinda sign is this?

I'm no lawyer but as far as I can determine from reading the laws, it is not one that will legally prohibit us from carrying. ?? That doesn't appear to be Texas legal but is more than enough notice in other states that allow Concealed Carry. See http://www.handgunlaw.us/" onclick="window....

If you hadn't showed it and was "made", you wouldn't have a CHL right now. Well Done!

Re: When Your Plastic is Approved but Not in Hand.

It is my understanding that If there is a handgun in the car, it must be concealed(weather you have a permit or not) and you must (by law) inform the officer when he stops you. In Texas of course.

If I am mistaken can someone post a link to inform me?

Re: What is the best?

The best is the one that best suits you . +1. As you can see to the many responses, the answer depends upon the person, not the gun. So, to you, the only answer that counts is yours. Try as many as you can, then, when you choose for yourself, I bet 99.9% of the people will tell you "good job&q...

Re: Gun found in car

I will admit there are times, though very few, that I must leave my gun in the car. Maintenance is not one of them. But when I have to, I have a lock box and it always goes in there. I consider myself responsible for my firearm when it is on my person or property, therefore when it is not on me(asid...

Re: What causes a double feed?

Interesting. Sounds like a magazine issue, if both are unfired. My pocket gun can't do that.... ....'cause... the bullets in the wheel go 'round and 'round, 'round and 'round, 'round and 'round. The bullets in the wheel go 'round and 'round, and hit harder than three aye-tee. "rlol" LOL! ...

Re: Glock 21 mags won't drop

Glock has drop free and non drop free mags. I believe that the non-drop free mags were standard on the older versions and the new versions all come with drop free mags. I would check to see which mags you have, the solution may just be swapping mags. This should help out: http://www.glockfaq.com/co...
