Re: Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick attacks NRA and Supports expanded background checks

I didn't say don't fight. Fight with all you got. But, don't pull away. I believe we can change our elected folk's minds. Easier to change those minds who are kinda with us, than to change the Communist. Patrick thinks that we are all in with him, otherwise he wouldn't have stated that he was willing to take an arrow from the NRA and reading what those who are on our side is writing about the NRA, can't blame him. Write him, don't give any money, but don't throw them out just to get something far worse? If he wins the primary, I will vote for him. The obverse is just too ugly and evil. Some folks it seems, want Civil War 2 or are placing their bets on the book of Revelation. War is a young man's game, especially something that awful and I am getting too old to go there. I want to give it all I can to at least maintain the line. But, not voting? Or, complain that Voting is what caused this current predicament? True voting did move us there, but how many like minded folks even vote? If we turn blue, we ain't going to get those rights back. They are gone. Won't be any Civil War either, neither is Texas going to kick outsiders out and secede. Talk about Revelations, you are right. It ain't supposed to get any better, but what if it ain't the end times? It just might be the end times for the U.S. which will be pretty horrible for many of us as it is. So, don't vote, don't get involved, I can't change folk's minds, if they just want to hide out and accept the over lordship of their Communist masters so be it. I believe we are at the point where there isn't but two choices, that's it, no more. I guess folks need to lose some weight anyhow and it is a bunch easier just to complain, blame others and do what your told by the party, even if you didn't sign up. Only my take, not a politician nor a Preacher, so follow your own weird and I will follow mine. :tiphat:

Re: Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick attacks NRA and Supports expanded background checks

I guess go ahead and not vote, back plumb out of the process. Yep, Texas will turn blue and you think you have problems now? Get some folks in the primaries, vote out Dan Patrick, but stay in the game. Or, don't complain, when we become Valenzuela light. I know it won't happen right off, first we become California, then New Jersey and on and on, until finally we are at the end. Like being a Christian, without too much trouble? That will be stopped. Like carrying a pistol for your self protection? Yep, come to a stop as well. All because one is hurt that those, who we never trusted fully anyhow, turned out to be a snake? It is better to keep the line, then to just give up and think you can just sit out somewhere without troubles. Troubles are coming and in spades and it ain't going to be like one of those survival movies or books. I don't believe the Communists allow one to just sit it out. They require you to make a public decision. Got to make those meetings and call out your neighbors. Got to accept what you don't believe in, or lose your job and livlihood. For those who have retired, you will be under the gun as well. When government controls everything, they really control everything. Fight, but fight logically. Don't hide out, don't vote 3rd party, get on the ball, the best you can. I am also very angry, but I ain't going to get my ball and go home. I am going to continue to do the best I can. I am going to go to Church, I am not going to accept deviancy, I am going to carry a firearm, I am going to do all I can to make my voice heard. I am going to remain a Republican, because that is the only choice that I see I have. All of those 3rd party folks? Not only do they not have a chance, but you think they are going to be different? Politicians tend to be snakes, no matter what. Keep the rattlers we can at least talk to or change the strike. Stay in the fight or not, your choice. As for me, I see that I have got but two choices throughout life; Communist or Republican, Pro-life or not, Gun carrier or not, Christian or not, Texan or not, and etc. At least I can say, I am a Texan and I tried. :fire

Well, the time for us to vote against him is in the primary. If Dan Patrick is this bad, what do you think the Democrat who will run against him will want to do? Keep in mind people like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Corey Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Francis Patrick O'Rourke, and the rest of crazy socialistic statists running for POTUS on the Democrat side.
:iagree: This not voting for a Republican as they are the least of evils needs to stop, IMO. I don't totally agree with any Republican I vote for, but I figure I can work to change the things later, that I do disagree with. But, this Nation is now on a precipice, teetering on being Venezuela (Communist) or maintaining the line. I don't see anyone bringing back the good old days or even supporting moving in that direction, at least at the upper echelons. If we don't vote for Republicans, then we get Warren, Sanders, Beto et al. So, just like Mooneyham stated, lets make our voices heard in the Primaries, but when the primaries are concluded IMO we stand and vote for the Republican choice. Then work for change. Cause if the other side wins, there won't be any going back, they (Democrats), fully intend to destroy everything this country is and stands for. Dan Patrick and soft Red Laws, Donald Trump and Bump Stocks, can be changed back. Absolute banning of semiautomatic rifles, large capacity magazines, stacking the courts with Communist Judges, ain't going back, at least within several generations. Heck, I am thinking about getting my Daddy to vote Republican this time as well, ever since he passed away in 1979 he has voted Democrat. I don't know what causes the dead to vote Democrat, but I intend to change that as well. :thumbs2:
