That's what my brother does. Either a drop cloth or a sheet will catch most of his brass. Also not all the brass falls into the grate. A lot ends up behind it and we usually end up taking home a little more than what we went with. I had a towel in my range bag, and laid it down to catch the brass. ...

If I'm racing my 1911, I stick with the Kramer IWB (it's the only holster that I own for the Kimber). For the G19 though, I will switch from my carry Kramer IWB to a Blade-Tech OWB and dual mag pouch.

Agreed with flying under the BATFD radar. It will also cause a decrease in barrel velocity.
