Re: Long distance shooting?
The range C-dub was talking about above is Top Gun Texas near Leonard, TX. They have targets at 100, 200, 300, 400, & 500 yards. You start out at 100 yards. To shoot at 200 yards you must be able to put 3 out of 3 shots into a 1.5 inch group at 100 yards. There are similar qualification require...

Re: Long distance shooting?
If you've never shot at 1,000 yards before, you might want to hone your skills at 300-500 first. Even 500 yards is a LOT further than it sounds on paper. Here is my own experience at 500 (with pictures) at TacPro: http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=87&t=74156&p=933696&hilit=ta...

Long distance shooting?
Hello Folks,
Recently I have taken an interest in shooting at distances longer than my local gun ranges offer which is usually 100 yards. Where could one go (I'm guessing outside of DFW) to hone these skills? I'm talking up to 1000 yards.

Re: First Police Encounter after CHL Permit...Video

Re: Drilling and tapping an 1892 receiver?
Is this an original Winchester 1892? If so, I would pass on it. If it is a reproduction, try Williamson Precision Gunsmithing on Pipeline Road in Hurst. Just my .02, LeonCarr No it is a brand new (well 8 months old now) Winchester / Miroku chambered in .44 magnum. I can hold a pretty tight group on...

After seeing what he did to a classic BAR when he was on "Sons of Guns" can't say that I'm too impressed.

Drilling and tapping an 1892 receiver?
Anyone on the forum around Arlington comfortable doing this? I would be willing to pay for your time. I'm wanting to add a Skinner receiver mounted peep sight.

Re: Getting CHL and Wife issue
I am getting my CHL and my wife asked me the other day, "Are you going to carry your gun with you all the time?" My response to her was that yes I planned on carrying when I am able to. She kinda laughed and made fun and said "so when you go to the store or anywhere you are taking yo...
