So, anyone have a recommendation for a excellent class with a very knowledgeable instructor? I'm hoping for a class taught by someone like Excalibur, someone who is the voice of reason, and does not advocate coming out "gun blazing" for every situation. Someone who will teach de-escalation / avoidance at the first, second and third resort and the use of one's weapon as a last resort, when all lesser means have failed or cannot be reasonably employed...
I would like to think that we don't have instructors teaching people to be "gun blazing for every situation". Non-Violent Dispute Resolution is a major part of the required CHL training. When I attended the DPS's Instructor training I didn't really meet anyone who was advocating going Rambo on anyone.

Having said that, not everyone is going to be a great teacher or have a teaching style that makes things interesting and keeps your interest, but I am sure the recommendations made here should help you in your search. Good Luck!
