Rebecca Peters constantly quoted statistics during her 2004 debate with Wayne LaPierre in London. Every statistic that she cited to support global small arms control was focused solely on "gun crime".tomneal wrote:Afer all the gun control laws passed in all the citys, states, and countries, you'd think someone would have noticed if they had reduced crime!
She went on and on about how gun crime has been reduced.
Wayne LaPierre, on the other hand, cited statistics on "violent crime". He pointed out, over and over, how violent crime has always risen when law abiding citizens have been disarmed.
He even went so far as to tell of all the people slaughtered with machetes, and how they would have been able to defend themselves if they'd been allowed to have guns.
Of course, the global anti-gun fanatics have been thoroughly brainwashed into believing that guns are bad when in the hands of anyone other than police and military personnel. There is no reasoning with people who have gone mad to such an extent.
