So from November 21 - 28, that was 8 days including a holiday. Not bad at all! I've thoroughly enjoyed mine so far - just waiting for my plastic. The Annoyed Man wrote:Well I was wrong. My MTAC arrived in this afternoon's mail! I just put it on and it is far and away the most comfortable holster I've ever worn - and I've only had it on for about 10 minutes. It is awesome.
I gave a cursory examination to the screw hole spacing on the additional holster body, and it appears to be OK, but I'll find out tomorrow.
...Oh, and they included some candy, and Tiffany signed the invoice with a handwritten note of thanks and a happy face. You just can't get better service than that.

Re: Comp-Tac Minotaur MTAC Holster Review
Wildscar,
Now that you've owned the holster for about a year, have you noticed any decrease in retention with time? For the other people viewing this topic, if you look at Wildscar's picture of the holster on the first page, the dimple near the trigger guard is the primary point for retention, and you can adjust it with the nearby hex screws. When I first got the holster and was pulling/reholstering my gun I noticed a trace amount of Kydex on my trigger guard and some scrapes on the inside of the Kydex holster at the dimple. I've heard that the retention can fade over time. So far so good for me, but I've only had mine a few weeks. Thanks!

Re: Comp-Tac Minotaur MTAC Holster Review
I ordered mine on a Monday morning and promptly got an e-mail stating that production process was taking roughly 9 days. On that Thursday, they sent me an e-mail stating it was shipping, and I received it on Saturday, for a turn-around time of 6 days. As far as estimating time of your order, I suppose it would be wiser for them to overestimate so that you are pleasantly surprised. I wasn't in a hurry to receive it, but I'm glad that it was shorter than the time they estimated. Overall, great customer service and a very pleasant company with which to do business. I'm definitely ordering from them again. The Annoyed Man wrote:I placed my order for a Minotaur MTAC for my 3" Kimber on Friday 11/21. I also ordered an extra holster body for my USP Compact. I called first and was told that it would process faster if I placed the order online. The lady also told me that their production turnaround time was 6-8 days. I will say that the lady was very friendly. Their website is very well done (it appears to be an osCommerce or Zencart build), and they are good about sending out the emails to update the customer. I received both a welcoming email, and a confirming email the same day with the order details. This morning, I received another email with an order update saying:
Reading this thread, it seems like most people received their orders more quickly than was expected. I certainly hope that is my experience. In any case, based on my experience so far, I would do business again with them."We appreciate your order. Our production process is currently running about 11 days. You will be notified as soon as your order is complete and ready to ship."
I have a chronic bad back, and it seems to be deteriorating a bit more lately. My current carry holsters - a Galco Royal Guard (Kimber), and a Galco Summer Comfort (USPc) - are tending to cause me additional back pain by pressing into my hip in just the wrong place. I'm thinking that the MTAC will distribute that pressure over a larger area, making it more comfortable to carry. The Galcos are both well made holsters, and the Royal Guard is particularly rugged. It gives the impression that it will last forever. I've worn it almost every single day since I bought it 6 ot 7 months ago, and it looks hardly worn at all.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to receiving my MTAC. I hope it doesn't take 11 days to ship.
