Re: Dinesh D'Souza says recent riots and political unrest could lead to 'rise of citizen militias around the country'

This may be a stretch from the intent of this thread. I'm keying off "militia"

The dark side of the word militia is the other groups who are pushing toward it. One of the pro-Democrats on my FB list posted this article yesterday.

When I read it, I come away with the conclusion "antifa good, gun lovers bad" which I'm certain is the intent. But if the statement that none of AG Barr's targets have been Antifa is accurate, it gives me pause. How can than be, given what we've seen with Antifa? I have no illusion that fringe groups are not seizing on the chaos to further their own goals. But i believe that way more of the push toward militias isn't Boogoloo and whatever objectives those people have. And I have to scratch my head about the supposed goal of Boogoloo murdering police officers as a means to the end of starting another civil war.

I also realize that the article could be a hit piece trying to demonize any mention of militia. They turn everything upside down. Those who are trying to preserve our Constitutional Republic are portrayed as trying to start a civil war to accomplish it. I think the terms "left" and "right" have become so distorted that it is not possible to use them. When the extreme right and the extreme left have the same goals, they cannot be at the opposite ends of the spectrum.
