I'm very sorry for the loss of the TSA agent in LAX. It is a tragedy. I support having proper security in place.

The paradox for me is that when the NRA made a similar proposal for schools after Sandy Hook, they were vilified. The teachers unions were nowhere to be found.
"As with any incident of this nature, there will be an appropriate time — after all the facts have been gathered and thoughtfully analyzed —to review existing policy and procedure to see what, if anything, can be learned from this unfortunate incident to help prevent future tragedies," said Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del., who chairs the Homeland Security Committee.
Geez. And all of the politicians who jumped immediately on the Sandy Hook tragedy didn't follow Senator Carper's advice. What a surprise.
