I've made sure that my wife saw this. After she got done reading "A Gift of Fear" and "Strong on Defense", she is better about following the prevention advice than before. She is finally starting to make noises about getting her CHL but I'm not sure that the poor woman in the OP would have had a chance if she had been armed (including on body). Some people seem to make fun of Wally Walks but there is a lot more validity to being prepared in that parking lot than the average person in the general public believes.
