I've been fearing the opposite. I prefer untucked and, especially with the tips given in one of the PSC seminars, have been able to get to presentation faster than before with a loose shirt tail. I've kind of dreaded the change over to tucked dress shirts, both from a speed of access and printing points of view. I cannot believe that a thin dress shirt isn't going to print a lot easier than my woven summer ones.Texas Dan Mosby wrote:There's plenty of folks like you that modify their firearm based on weather.Anyone else like me?
Me, not so much. That doesn't matter though, as defense is an individual decision based on the willingness to accept risk and compromise.
While my arm of choice remains the same, the carry method will now alter and be about .20 seconds faster to presentation...which is good. :)
In the heat, I carry with the shirt tucked over the arm, as I hate dealing with wind/untucked shirts. Now that the weather is cooling down a bit, I can carry either IWB or OWB using a sport coat as cover, which is a little bit faster for me.
Faster is "gooder".
I understand that a sport coat over top will make a difference but it isn't THAT cold yet.
