I'm surprised that they were arrested and not given keys to the city instead. It will be telling as to whether they actually see any consequences for their actions. The keys to the city are still possible.philip964 wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 9:14 pm https://www.sacbee.com/news/nation-worl ... 86863.html

Re: Coverage of the Derek Chauvin Trial in death of George Floyd
Tucker Carlson addressed that exact problem last night. I don't know how anyone who lives in that area cannot be afraid of the possible consequences of a not guilty verdict if they are on the jury. When the "woke" mob goes after high profile people, the average Joe serving on a jury hasn't got a chance. The McCloskey's are a great example. We have devolved back into Wild West "justice".03Lightningrocks wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 2:37 am It is fascinating to watch the questioning of these prospective jurors. I am honestly beginning to wonder how Chauvin is going to get a fair trial.

Re: Coverage of the Derek Chauvin Trial in death of George Floyd
Perhaps duration is a factor. I get that the Floyd was unruly and that is what got him hauled out of the police car and put on the ground in the first place. I don't know police procedures but it seems counterintuitive to keep someone on the ground with a crowd growing around him. Is it any worse to truss him him, shove him back into the squad car and get him the heck out of there than to keep the hold and try to deal with the banter from the crowd at the same time? The claim that the officer wasn't paying attention has Floyd stopped breathing seems to be what has evoked sympathy for a situation where there would otherwise be none. I'm certain that the neck hold wasn't approved if it was ending a life and the officer would have no way to know the exact cause of the breathing lapse at that point.Paladin wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 11:45 am It seems clear that there is reasonable doubt.
I can't tell if this is suicide by ingestion of drugs, a COVID related death, or police abuse. Since the neck hold was approved by the officer's department, it is difficult to place the blame with him personally.

Re: Coverage of the Derek Chauvin Trial in death of George Floyd
My response is: "hands up, don't shoot." There is a pattern. The whole country has accepted that George Floyd was murdered. It didn't work with Michael Smith. It did work with Floyd. If the officer is acquitted, the riots will be massive and the Federal government will pour gas on the flames.crazy2medic wrote: ↑Mon Mar 08, 2021 4:05 pm He ingested Fentanyl, what happens if you ingest too much fentanyl? This can result in respritory suppression or cessation, this will cause asphixia! George committed suicide wether intentional or not!
