Thanks for all the input. I really didn't want to pay 170 for a barrel (as I paid 189 for the shotgun in 1994). I have shot the shotgun plenty of times to be comfortable with it. I took a three day tactical shotgun course years ago. (enough rounds to have a nice bruise by day three!)
My other shotguns get really regular use...I just thought if I could find an inexpensive barrel (looked on the internet without much luck) I could just swap it out.
I guess it will be relegated to home defence.

Mossberg 500
I built a Mossberg 500 with an AR-15 adjustable stock, side mounted shell holders, rail pump grip with a surefire light and grip, 18" barrel with heat sheild, sling...etc...etc.
The thing is, I built this shotgun for home defence, but I NEVER shoot it. I shoot clays all the time, but I use my other shotguns which are longer and have adjustable chokes. Is there a longer Mossberg standard barrel that has adjustable chokes that I can swap out at the range so I can actually shoot this shotgun?
It looks great, but it is never used.
