Question for Mr. Cotton or anyone who really knows

I was put on new medication a while back and made the mistake of having a glas of wine about 8 hours after taking the pill. I got behind the wheel and all was well. Then I blacked out. I'm sure the Lord was with me because I was able to get off the road. I then woke up handcuffed. Please friends, be...

I agree with the above comment. It also causes a residue build-up low in the cylinder (if not cleaned often) that can make it harder to chamber .357 rounds. Were I to buy one of those titanium revolvers that weigh only 12 oz., I would only fire .38 ammo in it however. I heard of a PO that broke a bo...

According to Ed Sanow in a Guns and Ammo report, the hydra-shoks out perform the personal defense load on animated targets.

Well, Now That You Ask

My family and I live out in the country about 15 miles from town. We found out last week that the guy on the adjacent property was running a Meth lab. I then loaded up Ruger Mini 30, my SKS, and my MAK 40. From what I understand about these kinds of people, they are very dangerous. I'd rather be in ...

The best way to "make" someone is when they get out of their automobile and they proceed to take a great deal of effort to "hitch" up their pants. This is how Machine Gun Kelly "made" a plain clothes detective who was getting out of his car during a bank hold-up. Kelly ...

Maybe it's overkill, but.....

I carry an XP 45 and two extra mags. That makes a total of 40 rounds. The mags in my left pocket seem to offset the weight of the weapon on my right hip.

I Need Advicde From An Expert

I want to send my Series 70 to a gunsmith in Georgia for refinishing. I've been told by several FFL dealers I can send it by U.S. Postal Service myself as long I'm having it sent in for repairs. Those experts are in conflict with the head of the post office who says I can't send it via USPS at all. ...

Were I wanting a basic 1911, I'd go with the Kimber Stainless II. It was the first Kimber I bought out of the six I currently own. That said, it must be obvious I have a high regard for their pistols. I've tried just about all the 1911's and for the price I don't believe you can match Kimber's out o...

30.06 Sign

Someone please tell me if I'm wrong, but I went to the hospital the other day and the 30.06 sign wasn't also written in Spanish. I thought it had to be in both languages. So, can this sign be ignored by CHL holders? :???:

Charles, I have another question for you. I'm also a youth pastor at a church that also has a daycare. I'm I legal to carry on a church sponsored trip this summer (not daycare sponsored)? Our church has no 30.06 signs posted. The van we take has our church name and also says "Child Development ...

So, does this mean I can still keep my handgun locked up in my vehicle in the school parking lot as long as I don't committ an offense with it like display it or shoot someone with it illegally? Also, has this bill been signed yet?

I carry my full size Kimbers in a Fobus paddle. I wear a tucked in undershirt with a long, untapered overshirt covering the handgun. I've found this method very comfortable. In hot weather I don't use the undershirt, just a tee-shirt that's two sizes too large. It's not as comfortable as the other m...

Thanks for the info. I feel a bit better now. I had heard that the federal law was really set up to prosecute those who broke the law with a gun or drugs while on campus (gang members and such) and it would be unusual for them to prosecute a CHL holder. This from a local police officer.

My Two Cents

Even if it were made legal by our state for all CHL holders to carry within a public school, or even if the administrator of said school were to give the CHL holder permission to carry, this would go against the federal law that makes all public schools "gun free zones". It's my understand...
