Re: AR 15 Magpul Industries B.A.D. Lever
Took it to the range today and put about 300 rounds through it. The bolt kept locking to the rear when the magazine was not empty. It was essentially a cool looking bolt action rifle. Took the B.A.D. lever off and it ran flawlessly. Guess I'll have to wait for Magpul to come out with a B.A.D. lever for a Carbon AR.

Re: AR 15 Magpul Industries B.A.D. Lever
It is a carbon. My son put it on (best of intentions but little experience), so I removed it and reinstalled. You're right--you really can't put it on wrong, but it was pretty loose. I tightened it up and it still does it. I did find that if I pull the charging handle back, use the B.A.D. lever (pushing down with my trigger finger), and let the charging handle go, the bolt will go forward. Not really the intent of the part, but may be my best work around since it might not be designed with the carbon in mind. Thi is actually the first time I've seen a carbon lower--kinda makes me a little nervous to NOT have it made out of metal. Have you heard of any wear/durability (or any other) issues with these? Thanks for the reply.

AR 15 Magpul Industries B.A.D. Lever
My son just got me my first AR (Bushmaster), and he decked it out with a bunch of Magpul accessories. One of them is the B.A.D. Lever, and I have some questions. I've used the M-16/M-4 platform in the military for years, and this is my first experience with this product. Absolutely LOVE the one-handed operation, but am running into a problem. Any time I pull the charging handle (with or without mag), the bolt automatically locks to the rear. Is this the intent, or was it installed incorrectly?? I know you should be able to pull the charging handle and release it to make the bolt lock forward...why does it automatically lock it to the rear? Please help, as I'm hoping to put a few hundred rounds through it this weekend. Thanks, as always, for the advise--this forum just ROCKS!!!
