Re: XDM hi cap magazines tough to load
I bought an XD9-SC back in January and was surprised at how tight the mag springs were. But after a few trips to the range they did loosen up quite a bit. I can now hand-load a magazine without tearing my thumb up too much but it's still not quite as easy to load as my Sig. The last couple of round...

XDM hi cap magazines tough to load
Hello to all bitter clingers and gun toters. I recently bought the XDM 9mm and it came with 2 hi cap magazins. They are trully tough to load. I sure cant see myself getting that done in a pinch without the little loader thingie. And chances are that if Atilla the punk is sending rounds uprange (at m...

Re: Looking for interpetation
[quoteNo license required for bazookas (Destructive Device) or M-79 or chain gun (machine gun) as they are not handguns.][/quote] I believe you need a class 3 for the chaingun, just to own one. But who's being picky here? I just like to say "bazooka" a lot and it's tough to work that one i...

Re: Looking for interpetation
I was addressing the carrying an illegal knife or club not having it in your car. My discussion with the chl attorney predated the MPA. My understanding is it is still illegal, even if you have a CHL. Unless you are in your car, home, on your property or in a motor home ect. CHL only licenses you t...

Re: Looking for interpetation
I argued this point with the chl attorney a few years back. She was adamant, no illegal knife no club. I must have repeated the phrase 46.02 does not apply ..... 50 times but she refused to admit the law was how it was written. I have no idea what might have changed since then or if she is still th...

Re: Looking for interpetation

snakes in one's vehicle? :-)

Re: Looking for interpetation
SRothstien, that is exactly why i made the assumption. The PC says it is a violation to carry a club or illegal knife and then goes on to qualify whe it IS a violation. That leaves me to assume if i do not qualify as described it is NOT illegal. Somebody back me up here and tell me if am reading tha...

Re: Looking for interpetation
Thanks for all the help. Since i do have a CHL i intend to continue to carry in my car. It's not so much that i would like to carry at work as much as getting to and from work. I dont know if any of you have noticed, but it's getting a bit chippy out there on the roads these days. I found all these ...

Looking for interpetation
I hope i am in the right section to ask this sort of question. I am looking for opinions on the meaning of PC 46.03 a and PC 46.03 1. PC §46.03. PLACES WEAPONS PROHIBITED. (a) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly possesses or goes with a firearm, illegal ...

Fresh from the factory
Yup, i'm a new one too. Is my tag showing? I'm john and i am in the hill country. I have had my Permit for about 8 years. I was competing in Practicle pistol competitions 2-3 years ago and i intend to get back into that this spring. Nothing says "Happy" like the gratuitous discharge of fir...
