I just started playing so let me see if I have it right.
Trap is a 180 degree rotating motorized launcher that always has the same arc that but the direction is random, and mostly away from you. I have only played on stationary launchers myself.
Skeet is 2 different houses that shoot high or low across you field of view
Sporting clays is several different scenerio simulations where you may be shooting at a "rabbit" on the ground or a duck over water or a grouse through a valley. It looks like fun.
These examples are based on my limited knowledge of the sports.

They have 3 fixed station trap launchers and a 5 stage trap (or 5 stage skeet). Pretty nice when the weather is niceHankB wrote:Eagle Peak has a regular trap range? Trap shooting
Who else is hooked on trap shooting? I went 2 weeks ago and now can't get it off my mind. I sold my 870 and bought a berreta xtrema2. I am jonesing to go back. Eagle Peak (Leander) is my current fav.
