They would not have to change the constitution. They can regulate us into de facto submission. The gov. could levy taxes on parts, ammo, accessories to the point where we could not afford their use, they could also mandate ownership fees/permits/licences at such prohibitive cost as to virtually disarm the American public.

This among other tings is why I even rebel against the notion of a CCW permit. The 2nd Amendment says our right to keep and bare arms shall not be infringed, I feel the need for state controlled permitting is an infringement. I further suggest there be absolutely no laws of any kind that would prohibit, curtail, restrict in any way ones right to bare arms at his or her own discretion, concealed or otherwise, any where they wish to go...ie., across state lines, to the local Chilli's/bar, Ranger games, to school to pick up our children/ grandchildren...anywhere, period.

How long would it take if confiscation became the law of the land before violence broke out. Who would be the new Minutemen that stood on a bridge and said N O you shall not pass? How long...
