By definition, probably not. Brandishing = "to shake or wave, as a weapon" ex: "Brandishing his sword, he rode into battle. "
In this case, he did display his weapon to prevent any harm, which, in my eyes, is the reason for having the CHL.

I am happy you and your GF are OK.

I would like to ask a couple of questions:
Most important (at least for me) - ----- What did the LEO's do/say? Did they have any issues with you pulling your weapon? Were the BG's around when the LEO's showed up?

Other than that, when the BG's put their hands up and retreated, did they say anything to you? (like what their intentions were)
