Understand that with those 400 rounds you are over halfway to changing your recoil spring. I shot a Kimber Compact for a few years, thinking the spring replacement interval was like a full sized gun. One cracked slide later, after talking to Kimber about a replacement, I fully understood that 700 rounds was the replacement interval for a good reason.

After that, when I was shooting my ProCarry on regular basis, I changed recoil springs religiously.

I know your gun is a 3.5" and mine are 4" but the same principle applies. Short barreled, high slide velocity 1911s need strong springs.
