I find myself in the same boat. I'm squeeky clean and have never had a run in of any kind but I still find myself to be not really trusting of LEO's even though I've known quite a few and been close friends with two. It might be partly because my dad was a cop a long time ago and he dislikes cops more than anyone I know. I think it's different now, maybe because the pay is up some from the old days. It used to be that if a local cop got in trouble he would just wind up in another part of the state in another town. Usually they left oweing money to local business people. I could be partly wrong on this, it's probably just a reflection of the world. There are a lot of worthless people out there, not all of them are wearing badges but some of them are.

I'm just glad it happened in Round Rock. That's the part of the state I would expect something like that. It's a beautiful part of the world but so is San Frrancisco

I'm pretty sure I'm with ya handog. What worries me is that I carry OWB. What do you think was visible? I wouldn't think the IWB setup you have would really be detectable even if you were looking for it. Any other way somebody could have known with being able to see it?

Why do you think it's not a case of a bad cop? Do you think there are no bad cops? We have no way of knowing if it is or isn't. I would like to hear RRPD's side of the story as much as anyone.

I really wasn't trying to get things stirred up, I just want to stay out of trouble. I assure you I DON'T intentionally expose. I'm going to keep trying to get a IWB set up I can stand to wear, I know that will help. I also know there are good cops and bad cops but I've come to believe there are good PD's and bad PD's. Some of the Houston suburbs have had problems over the years. Probably starts at the top.

After reading cuffed and stuffed and the responses I would like to hear any ideas about ways of protecting ourselves. I realize the chances of any one of us going through that are pretty slim especially if we do what we're supposed to. Mainly I'm thinking about the point someone made about having a lawyer handy if that's practical and affordable. I'm 56 yrs old and not really familiar with much to do with lawyers, I've been lucky and or blessed so far to never need one. I took my CHL class from Charles and I would kinda like to know what he thinks about it.
